You can see the future with one glance of TED.com

Ted is a site that brings all of the researchers together to show everyone what's going on, and what have they seen. Every topic is covered in some why or another.

Why should you check it out? If you have a crazy addiction to cat videos, this will break it and make you smarter. No motivation needed to start.

Why do I write?

Yea, what is my reason for posting stuff on my blog? In short, I'm bored, I want to help and work on my writing. Yea it's as simple as that. There's another blog starting up every second nowadays, and it's hard to get any kind of recognition these days.

I want to start something a little different, and make a niche product for you to read. Something that will catch your eyes and hopefully anticipate upcoming posts. Though I am really bored, I will continue to make quality posts and make you come back for more.

Also, I would like to help people in the process. That's just plain and simple. What would a blog be like if it didn't provide any interesting information, or just existed for the sake of it? That would just be silly.

Writing is very enjoyable to me. I will be the first to admit, I have been out of the game for a long while. "Doing it Right" gives me the opportunity to write with reason.

Flashcard Machine: Make Flash Cards and Share Them

Flash cards are known for their ability to help students learn quick and fast. Now how about trying it out online? With Flashcard Machine, you can make them quick and easy, share them with your friends, and learn on the go!

With this, you can start making digital copies of your flash cards, then pull them up at a computer and study. It works wonders! First you're going to need to type in or copy/paste your info. After you have enough content, just click on 'Start Study Session', and learn.

Now it just doesn't end there, but it goes farther, much farther. You can help out your fellow classmates by giving them the link, which I plan to do for my classes. Just give them the link, and go from there. No sign up needed from your peers.

The coolest thing about having flash cards in the cloud, is the fact that you can upload them to almost anything. There's a mobile version of Flashcard Machine for iOS, and Android devices. And it works just as well. Granted, they do cost $1.99 for the Android version, but the iOS version is free.

Try it out!

Khan Academy: The Next Generation of Learning

Khan Academy is a most useful site. It has videos you can watch that will show you how to do math, understand science, and other things. When I have a problem with my algebra class, and just can't seem to figure it out, I automatically check out if KA has it. And usually it does.

But it's not just about the videos. KA has a 'virtual classroom' on a star map. You earn points by answering correctly, and you don't need to sign up for it! When you don't answer correctly though, it shows you the steps on how you can achieve the right answer.

Khan Academy started with a guy just trying to help his cousins learn math remotely. He then posted the video onto YouTube, got some comments and feedback to motivate him more to more. Watch this video about how it works!

What do you think about it?

Welcome to Dropbox, and say goodbye to USB drives (for the most part)

Ok, Dropbox is like a USB drive (flash drive, jump drive, or whatever you call them) in the way it stores your videos, music, and documents. But unlike a USB drive, you can't LOSE IT.

When you sign up for it, you'll get 2 gigabytes of space and you can increase it by letting other people know about Dropbox.

Watch this 2 minute video on how it works. It'll make your life so much easier.

I am making a couple strides to let people know about this, but I know this will help everyone in the end.

Also, if you don't want the Dropbox program on your computer (I don't know why you wouldn't) you can upload to the site, like if you were to email a paper to yourself as well as download it from the site.

Disclaimer: This is a free service, I do not make money off of this. I just like helping the nontech-savvy out. And I'm tired of hearing about people not having their USB drives on them. The only thing I get from it is, extra space for my account. I hope you would take the time to sign up using this link. THANKS!

P.S. I go to SC4, and I'm more than happy to help you out with your computer problems, like a paper not printing, computer won't turn on, or even helping you set up your Dropbox account. Just hit me up on Twitter!

Hey leave a comment below if you have any questions, comments, concerns. Or how you found this site! It's greatly appreciated!

My YouTube Leanback Experience

A while ago I found the YouTube Remote app for my Android phone. I started playing around with it and found that, in combination with my laptop it proved extremely useful when I wanted to watch videos and listen to music. With more time playing with it, I started looking through the settings and found that it had a feature where I could connect with my YouTube pals on a local screen and add videos to the queue. I found this extremely interesting and instantly tried to find someone to try it with.

When my friend and I got all set up it proved extremely FUN. We could just sit back and throw on some awesome videos to the queue and just start bringing up all the cool things we've found in the past. He put on a pronunciation video where a word would pop up and it would say the word three times. I was quite confused as why he would post something like that, but it started to make sense when the next video popped up and it would say the word in a very incorrect manner. We laughed and laughed as the his part of the queue got more and more ridiculous.

Even as silly as it really is, this is an awesome example of technology becoming mature enough to appeal to everyone, and it still blows me away that this isn't mainstream yet even though the software isn't quite ready. Yea, we ran into a bunch of bugs. But they didn't distract from the overall experience.
This by itself made me figure out what I really want: high speed internet, big giant monitor, and a PC combo. I was thinking about a Google TV box, but at the moment it's not the best. Right now it's appless. Everything a Google TV can do, a nice modest PC can. This whole set is really cheap, give or take.
