When you sign up for it, you'll get 2 gigabytes of space and you can increase it by letting other people know about Dropbox.
Watch this 2 minute video on how it works. It'll make your life so much easier.
I am making a couple strides to let people know about this, but I know this will help everyone in the end.
Also, if you don't want the Dropbox program on your computer (I don't know why you wouldn't) you can upload to the site, like if you were to email a paper to yourself as well as download it from the site.
